Policies & Commitments
Clear boundaries and professional standards are the foundation of our experiential expeditions. Explore the guidelines that protect your growth and ensure a safe, confidential environment for our work high in the North Cascades.
Privacy Policy
Our Commitment to Discretion
At Alpine Psych Guides, we recognize that the journey to growth and healing requires a foundation of absolute trust. Whether you are scaling a peak or navigating a difficult conversation in the wilderness, your privacy is our priority.
Data Collection in the Field
We collect information necessary for safety and efficacy. This includes your contact details, emergency contacts, medical history relevant to physical exertion, and goals. This data is used exclusively to prepare our guides for your specific needs, ensuring a safe and growth-oriented experience for every participant.
Confidentiality Standards
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. Disclosure is only made to essential personnel involved in your specific trip or in emergency situations.
Commitment & Cancellation
Forging resilience requires a commitment to showing up—for yourself and for the group. Because our expeditions involve complex back-country permits, guide logistics, and professional coordination, we maintain a firm but fair path for transitions.
Expedition Refunds
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the expedition date receive a 100% refund, minus a $150 admin fee. Between 14-29 days, a 50% refund is available. Cancellations within 13 days of departure are non-refundable.
Mountain Conditions & Safety
The mountains decide the rhythm of our trips. If technical conditions (weather, avalanche risk, or fire) make a specific peak or route unsafe, we will offer a comparable alternative objective or full trip credit for a future date.
Wellness Commitment
In the rare event of a medical emergency that prevents participation, we may offer a one-time partial credit toward a future season upon receipt of professional documentation.
The discipline of the ascent requires the courage of commitment.
Service Agreements & Policies
Climbing with Alpine Psych requires mutual trust, clarity, and a commitment to the work—both internal and external. These policies ensure a safe, robust environment for everybody on the expedition.
01. Professional Boundaries
Our guides function as both technical experts and facilitators. While we foster connection, the relationship remains professional and grounded in integrity to facilitate genuine connection.
02. Safety & Readiness
Mountain environments are inherently unpredictable. Participants must adhere to all safety protocols and equipment requirements. We reserve the right to alter itineraries or cancel specific objectives based on physical readiness and environmental conditions.
03. Confidentiality
What is shared on the ridge stays on the ridge. We invite participants to uphold the same ethics within the group to ensure a safe psychological space.
04. Cancellation & Commitment
Planning high-alpine expeditions requires early logistics. Cancellations made within 30 days of departure are non-refundable, reflecting the logistical and financial commitment required for mountain guides and psychological preparation.
